Privacy Policy

TableCap Mafia ("the App") is operated by TableCap. This policy describes what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices.

1. Information We Collect

Client Identifier. When you first open the App, a random unique identifier (UUID) is generated and stored on your device. This identifier links your device to your game rooms and history. It is not tied to your real name or identity.

Display Name. You choose a display name visible to other players in your game rooms. This can be any name you choose.

Email Address (optional). If you choose to link an email for account recovery, we store your email address. This is entirely optional — the App works without it.

Game Data. We store game room data including room names, player names, game settings, roles, votes, and game results. This data is necessary to operate the game.

Google Account (optional). If you use Google Sign-In for account verification, we receive your email address from Google. We do not access any other Google account data.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

We do not collect your real name, phone number, or physical address
We do not access your contacts, photos, camera, or microphone
We do not collect location data
We do not use advertising identifiers or run targeted ads
We do not sell or share your data with third parties for marketing

3. How We Use Your Information

To operate the game — creating rooms, assigning roles, recording votes and results
To allow you to rejoin your rooms and view your game history
To send a verification code if you choose to link your email
To restore your account on a new device if you have linked an email

4. Data Storage

Your data is stored on Google Cloud Datastore servers. We retain your game data for as long as your account exists. If you "Start Fresh" in the App, your previous client identifier is abandoned and a new one is created.

5. Third-Party Services

Google Cloud Platform — data storage and hosting
Google Sign-In — optional account verification
ZeptoMail / Zoho Mail — sending verification emails (only if you link an email)
Firebase — real-time game state updates

These services have their own privacy policies. We only share the minimum data necessary for each service to function.

6. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

7. Your Choices

You can use the App without providing an email address
You can choose any display name — it does not need to be your real name
You can "Start Fresh" at any time to abandon your current account and start over
You can delete the App to remove the client identifier from your device

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect any changes.
